Murphy, James F. Jr. WATERFORD James F. "Murph" Murphy Jr., 69, of Broad St., died Monday, March 5, 2007 at St. Mary's Hospital. Born in Troy he was the son of the late James F. Murphy Sr. and Mary Glenney Murphy. He was a 1955 graduate of Catholic Central High School. Jim had been employed for 30 years at the Ford Motor Co. in Green Island and retired in 1990. He also had been employed by the Troy Ambulance Service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was stationed in Japan. He was a member of the United Autoworkers Union, the Waterford Rescue Squad and was an exempt member of the Knickerbocker Steamer Co. in Waterford. Currently he served on the consolidated board of health for the town and village of Waterford. He was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Waterford. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Sandra Mahoney Murphy; his children, Evelyn M. Daley and her husband Thomas of East Greenbush, Elizabeth A. Murphy-Mutch and her husband William of Brunswick, Sandra M. Murphy of Troy and James F. Murphy III and his wife Jennifer of Liverpool, N.Y. He was the brother of Mary K. Liburdi and her husband Bennie of Latham. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Nichole L. Kern, Amanda M. Murphy, Thomas J. Daley Jr., Marissa R. Daley, James F. Murphy IV and William J. Mutch Jr., his great-grandchildren, Ashlyn Getting and Giavonna Eugene Murphy; as well as several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at St. Mary's Hospital, especially Meredith, Kate, Aaron, Frank and Sarah. Funeral services will be Saturday at 8:30 a.m. from the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rt. 32), Waterford and at 9 a.m. at St. Mary of the Assumption Church. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Waterford. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Friday 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Rensselaer County, 295 Valley View Blvd. Rensselaer, NY 12144.

Sandee snd family,
