Regina Marie Stuart

Tucson - Regina Marie Stuart passed away October 6, 2024 at her home in Tucson, Arizona. She was born in 1931 in Nebraska, to Harry E. and Beatrice Clark Richardson.

The Richardson family moved to Whidbey Island, Washington in 1937. The family later moved to Bremerton where Regina finished high school in 1949. Regina's vibrant personality was evident very early and she was popular in school and community social circles.

Regina married Allan Burford in 1949 and their union produced three children. Regina married Charles Stuart in 1962 in California. She returned to school, receiving her Bachelors Degree in the early 1980's, and began a career in teaching in California.

Regina and Charles retired and moved to Arkansas in 1995, and to Tucson in 2019.

Regina was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Howard Raymond, and Rocky Richardson and her sister Betty Richardson Nopp. Also preceding Regina in death was her grandson, Jason Kelly, and nephew, David Nopp.

Regina is survived by her spouse of 62 years, Charles Stuart, three children; Debra Ann Davis; Rebecca Lee (Larry) Thaler; and Gordon Allan (Jackie) Burford. She is also survived by six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by many, many treasured, loving Family members, Friends and Relatives.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers a donation to the American Diabetes Association or your favorite charity. A memorial service will be held at 3 pm, Oct.22, at East Lawn Palms Mortuary, Tucson AZ.
