Reginald Kennedy Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 27, 2025.
Reginald Kennedy passed away at the age of 79. Born in Mount Vernon, NY, Reginald lived a life defined by adventure, service, and an unwavering passion for the sea. Proud and honorable veteran served in the Air Force in Thule, Greenland. Reginald's true calling was the water; an avid fisherman and skilled diver, he spent countless hours exploring the oceans. He was always with a fishing rod or diving gear in hand. His joy for fishing inspired him to open a fish store, and later he opened his own pool company. He was also a certified member of the Florida Marine Patrol, as he was committed to protecting the waterways he loved so dearly.

Family and strangers alike enjoyed his company as he was the life of the party, providing quick-witted jokes for all ages. He had a devoted love for his dogs and was definitely a dog's best friend. He enjoyed listening to music and playing the harmonica; he was a huge fan of the Rolling Stones and truly had "moves like Jagger." He leaves behind a legacy of laughter and the ability to always shine light on the humor within the life that surrounds us.

Reginald was very loving and sentimental, treasuring all family gatherings; he is survived by his sister, Camille (predeceased by brother-in-law Bill); predeceased by brother, Frank (Elyse); nephews, Billy (Yuko) and Frankie (Vicki); nieces Gina (Dan) and Rese (Graham); great nephews Aegean and Kai; and great nieces Katelyn, Leanna and Marley.

He will be laid to rest with military honors at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Cemetery, 11411 NW 25th Street, Doral, FL 33172, on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 2:00 pm.

Reginald will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
