Reginald A. Read Jr.

Reginald A. Read, Jr passed away on September 28th in Granbury Texas at the age of 92. Known as Reg, he was born in Brooklyn, New York and spent most of his life in La Grange, Illinois. There Reg and his wife Joanna raised three children who survive their father. Reg received his Bachelor in Science from the University of Illinois and then a Masters in Business from the University of Denver. In 1955, Reg founded Regdon Corporation and successfully ran that business until retirement in 1986. Joanna and Reg then moved to Durango Colorado and enjoyed their beautiful mountain town for the next 30 years. Reg loved spending time with family, reading history, traveling, and watching old movies.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 7th at St. Nicholas Episcopal Church in Flower Mound Texas at 11:00 am.

Reg's wife of 58 years, Joanna, and his three children Julanne Mahan, Reginald Read III, and Margaret Johnson survive Reginald Read Jr. He also leaves behind six grandchildren, Taylor Hoffmann, Meredith Hoffmann, Breckyn Hoffmann, Tyler Johnson, Reginald Read IV (Alex), and Catherine Read. The family will continue to celebrate a well lived life at a gathering afterwards in Argyle, Texas.
