Marjorie, I have just learned of Reid's passing and my heart goes out to you & your family. Even though we haven't been in touch for awhile, I think of both of you often.
I will always have fond memories of Reid - when I first moved to W.Van. in 1955 I was very shy & Reid hired me to work with him at Ambleside Pool. Through grades 9 - 12 at WVHS I worked with him in the PE Dept. keeping records of points earned by students toward their "Letters". He made a point of introducing me to other students so I would feel like I belonged. He taught me to be confident & sure of myself. I also remember babysitting your children. And, our last meeting, after not seeing you both for 40 yrs., bumping in to you at the PGA Golf Tournament when it was played in Vanc. (Reid was marshalling). I saw Joan-Louise that day too. Dave (Dibby) who, like Donn Gardner, played basketball for Reid, & I thought the world of him. He was a wonderful man.
