I just heard what happened. I'm so sorry for your family's loss. I went to college with Reidun and we were in the same vocal studio. I know she had her demons, but she always tried her hardest at school and was kind to her classmates. I hope she is able to rest now.

I am so saddened by this loss. Reidun was a good friend of mine and we both struggled with a monster of addiction together and met while trying to get help. "Roxy" was a beautiful dancer and singer with hair as fiery as her soul. This death has hurt me to the core, because I got out, and she did not. Her suffering and despair has come to an end, and her voice is that of an angel now. I will never forget girls night with her, and dancing to uptown funk. I will always remember you, my friend.

We are saddened by Reidun's passing. She was a beautiful person, full of love, energy, and talent. We only knew her for a short period but were touched by her giving & kind ways. She is now free of the stronghold life on life's terms and drugs had on her. We pray that time and good memories will ease the pain of her loss for all that knew & cared for her, but especially for her parents and family.

Anne, Ike, John, and Pierre: I am so sorry to hear of Reidun's passing. I remember her as a bright, talented kid. Katie has told me over the years what Reidun was doing. I was glad to see her go into the arts in college.
I don't know what happened that took her down this path. Mental illness is so devastating.
Please accept my deepest sympathy. I have no words.

I am so sorry for your loss! Reidun was a bright and energetic young woman when I knew her as a student. I am so sorry to hear that she endured many struggles in her short life. May she rest in pease and know that she was/is loved by many ... including those (like me) who have not seen her in years

To Reidun's family: I am so sorry for your loss. I went to school with Reidun for many years. I remember running cross country races as a 7th and 8th grader with her, and just when the pack of hundreds of runners would slow and tire, she would pick up steam and fly - really FLY - past everyone and across the finish line. She was in a league of her own. I remember playing in high school musicals with her at Sibley. One year we performed Guys and Dolls. I was a violinist in the pit orchestra, she was one of the leads. Everyone had fun and gave it their best. Then Reidun would waltz on stage and start singing, and acting and dancing - and my goodness, could she SING, and ACT and DANCE. Again, a league of her own. One time we went to the Minnesota Orchestra together. She cried at the beauty she heard. I'd never seen someone moved to tears by music before. I knew she could hear and feel so much more than I could. When I went away to college in Madison, she stayed with me in the dorms for a weekend so she could tour the campus. We had a ball. We sat in coffee shops on State Street, and shopped in second hand stores to our hearts' content. I remember she found a ridiculous white faux fur coat. It was the craziest thing I'd ever seen, and then she put it on and she looked like a 1930's movie star. She bought it and wore it home. I was convinced there wasn't another human on the planet who could make that coat look good. She was just stunningly gorgeous. She was gorgeous in all of these memories. So much talent and spirit and kindness and whimsy and fire. I also remember that she loved her brother. She always said so. I'm just now understanding that her family had to say goodbye to her years ago. I want to share with them that I remember that spirited, talented, beautiful girl. I always will. Farewell, Reidun.

It still doesn't seem real. I am so thankful to have known Reidun so well during our time together at UW-Eau Claire. Between all the classes we had together....Women's Concert Chorale, Voice Pedagogy, Opera Suor Angelica, etc.... we went on countless walks ...talking about life, sometimes going to our fave bar, laughing over the silliest of things, or just hanging out and listening to Eva Cassidy's beautiful music that she introduced me to, which I then chose to sing in my Junior Voice Recital. Thank you!!! She was a ray of sunshine and so silly and weird just like me. We bonded instantly.

Love you, girl. I will miss you so, so much. I hope you have found peace ❤
