Dear Maggie, I have just heard about sweet sweet Rena. I am so very sorry for your loss. Rena and I had short but intense wonderful relationship. I loved her very much. She was kind to everyone from the bottom of her heart. I have been praying for you and sending you love and strength. I thought you were a very beautiful person as well. I was so shocked when I saw Rena listed in the Alumni Newsletter. My heart hurts right now to know that I tried to find her over the years and was never able to. We were best friends in high school and I loved to listen to her sing! Wow...what an amazing voice, she was the first person to ever give me cold chills from singing! I am so sorry for her family's loss and wish I could have seen her. Rest in peace my good friend and I will see you again one day.

My deepest sympathies to Rena's family. Even though I hadn't seen her in many years, Rena had a profound impact on me when I was younger. She was a dear friend, a great talent and a beautiful person. I've missed her over the years and am greatly saddened by her passing.

Rena Brown, my dearest best friend of many years ago, it may have been many years ago that we had last seen each other , some of my fondest childhood memories were the years we were in the 5th-6th grades together, we didn't go anywhere without each other, we had such fun! Sixth grade we were both teachers pet, we'd go to Mr. Drawberts house, we'd go to your brother Sean's dads house, i remember all the baby chicks, sleep overs, sixth grade camp, syncronized swimming, we even had the nick names Starski and Hutch, that's how good of partners we were, and in the seventh grade we were both in the yearbook for most out going , most spirited, most popular, always something good, always side by side but the times i really enjoyed were the times I'd sit and listen to you sing, I envied you, your beautiful voice, I'd sit in awe listening to you sing,, now "my best friend " of many years ago, you've gone to the heavens above, what a beautiful place it must be and when my day comes I know to listen for the sound of angels singing and that is where I'll find you, "my best friend of many years ago.
until then my dear,

What a lovely loving niece I had in Rena. We will all miss her dearly, the time and sweet smile she always had for all of us. Her singing voice was sent from above which is where it is now. Her entire family will once again hear her sing.
