Renee Packard Taylor passed away on August 28, 2012, in Payson, Utah. She was born on May 14, 1931 in Springville, Utah to Chillian Max Packard and Lucille M. Wilson. She married James I Taylor Jr. (Jim) on July 27, 1950 in Springville, Utah and they were later sealed in the Manti Temple on April 21, 1964. After her marriage, she moved to Spanish Fork and has lived there until her death. She attended schools in Springville and graduated from Springville High School in 1949. She worked part time at Springville Bank while still in high school and continued working there full time after graduation, until her marriage. She returned to work in 1965 at First Security Bank and eventually went to work for Nebo School District where she retired after 24 years in 1993. Renee was a member of the LDS Church.
Renee and Jim were married 52 years before Jim passed away in 2002. They have three children, James Michael Taylor (Rosalie), Centerville, Utah; Douglas William Taylor (Michelle), Cottonwood Heights, Utah; and Annette Taylor Roberts (Lyle), Kingsland, Georgia. She also leaves behind twelve grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and a sister, Maxine Davies, Provo, Utah. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and a brother, Dr. Dean W. Packard.
Funeral services will be held at the Spanish Fork Stake Center, 1006 East 200 South, Spanish Fork, Utah, on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. A viewing will be held on Tuesday evening, September 4, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Walker Funeral Home, 187 South Main Street, Spanish Fork, Utah, and on Wednesday morning before the service from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the Stake Center.
A special thanks to Maxine Davies, Renee's favorite sister, who, during the last few years, was always there to help her. Thank you to the many friends and neighbors who, over the years, provided service to Renee, especially Vernon and Betty Carlson and their family. Thanks, also to the doctors, nurses and staff at Mountain View Hospital and Parkway Health Center, Payson, Utah for their compassionate care.
Interment will be in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at: www.walkerfamilymortuary.com
