You vowed to be the best father and you were just that. You believed in me when no one else did. You told me to keep going when I was unsure. You are the best. Period.

Seems like just yesterday you were up speaking so elegantly about my dad and your brother at his home going and now today here I am remembering you.

I miss the days when you all made yearly visits here to Memphis. I miss seeing you, my auntie, my mom and my dad all together hand in hand loving on one another and sharing a special bond that was created by genuine pureness, friendship and love.

In my mind, I have a feeling that it was a beautiful moment when you and he reunited. Keep resting uncle and until we see you again- your memory will stay alive in our hearts and minds.

I knew I could always call on you to join me in any outreach venture...your genuine love for God and others has had a lasting impact! Enjoy your rest in his presence.

Dad, I will always remember you singing or humming. It seemed to bring you joy. I also remember your smile when Sydney loved to come eat your muffins. You were always ready to go get another one just so you could share with her.
