I think of Reuben so very often. I believe he is in heaven with my brother, John Harper, and their friend Donald Fahey. I miss all of them.

My husband and I remember Reuben well. We were both counselors at the camp in 1970 where we met. Reuben was a joy to be with - funny, helpful, and kind - so many memories! A life well lived. Rest in peace, Rueben.

Rueben was a WONDERFUL person and a GREAT friend. He helped make Colorado feel like home when my wife and I moved here. Rest in peace Rueben. Prayers up to the family.

Reuben´s and my family grew up together. Our mothers were sisters. His mother was my favorite aunt. He was a wonderful part of my family, I loved being at their house with Mark, Teddy and Jo. While he was growing up he had alot of problems. At one point he was in a full body cast. That didn´t stop him! All the while his sense of humor never wavered. He worked through all his problems. I loved the stories he would tell other kids. The one I loved the best was when someone asked him what happened to him. He said he jumped out of a plane without a parachute! He was so proud of his family and his great achievement was his wonderful daughter Addie. He really enjoyed his time at the Easter Seals camps. I know he was a great employee at that camp. He was an amazing man! I miss his calls out of the blue. We did try to keep up. One more thing - he loved going around the circle park in Fruita. We had to make sure he got to do that whenever he came to visit! Love you and miss you,
Repert God be with you Mark, Jo and Addie I love you

I worked with Reuben at the radio station in Leadville; he was there a long time, I was only there a short time, but he made such an impression on me - he was funny, talented and so upbeat. I laughed around him a lot, especially when he showed me how he´d trained his cat to fetch!! RIP, friend.

I knew Reuben through my brother, Johnnie. They went to Boettcher School together. Reuben was always in Johnnie's life from school until my brother passed in 2022. Reuben was a fun person to talk to, and he had such a great personality. I was shocked and saddened when I found out that he passed. I am glad I knew Reuben.

One of the funniest times I remember is when I challenged Reuben to a race, I had my leg in a cast, and was on crutches. We laughed pretty hard, just don´t remember who won! That was in 1976 after returning from the Philippines

Reuben was the epitome of an EXTROVERT! He and I would joke about which one of us was "shyer" and then we would cackle like maniacs. RIP dear Reuben and try not to give the angels too much grief.

Many years ago when Reuben showed me how to roll out my pie crusts onto wax paper rather than folding it like it showed in the cook books. We had so much fun making our pies together! So many laughs! Reuben used to call me "Claugers" I first met Reuben when I was about 16, back in 1975.
