My family attended South Glastonbury Congregational church in the 60's. The organist at that time, Mrs. Hollister was my piano teacher. I accepted Christ as my Savior in 1982 and am eternally grateful for the seeds planted in my life by Rev. Ted!

I was a typical confused, unfocused '50 teenager when Ted joined the Saugatuck Congregational Church. Ted was instantly likable and could easily relate to my friends and I. He taught by example and made a difference in our lives for which I am forever grateful There have been numerous times when Mike James, Mark Smith and I have recounted our uplifting experiences with Ted.

My earliest memory of Ted was a sermon he gave as the Pastor to Youth at Saugatuck Congregational. He told us that the fishermen of Isle au Haut know how to navigate the waters - not necessarily by knowing each rock and ledge, but by knowing where the clear channels and deep waters were. I turned that message into a song years later.
He officiated at my sister's wedding, and made a special appearance to officiate at my parents' renewal of marriage vows for their 50th anniversary. What a blessing!
