On Monday, January 20, 2014. Devoted wife of the late Isadore Gesser. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Barbara and Mair Fried, Helen and Morris Karovitch. Cherished "Grandma" of Roberta and Michael Levine, Rabbi Tuvia and Sari Fried of Far Rockaway, N.Y., Frank and Cheryl Fried, Ari and Naama Fried of Israel; Janet Karovitch, Drs. Alan Karovitch and Lindsay Stewart of Ottawa, ON., Susan Karovitch of Vancouver, B.C. Loving great-grandmother of twenty-three and proud great-great grandmother of two. Sister and sister-in-law of the late Ethel and the late Nick Levitan; and sister-in-law of the late Joe Gesser, the late Ethel and the late Lou Krakower, the late Rose and the late Sol Ram. Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Tuesday, January 21 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the House of Israel Congregation Section, Kehal Israel Cemetery, D.D.O. Shiva at her daughter Barbara's home. Contributions in her memory may be made to the "Reva Gesser Social Advocacy Fund" c/o the Cummings Jewish Centre for Seniors, (514) 343-3529, ext. 7373.
