I just discovered the passing of Pastor Enquist. I am deeply saddened and offer my condolences to the Enquist family. i knew pastor Enquist when he was a pastor at St Peter's Church in Bronx NY.(80's). I attended this church for a few years. He was truly a man of God. He and his wife Nadera were very kind and I always had good memories of him and the church. He made everyone feel welcomed. Everyone was like family. May God bless and watch over his family.

I miss you, Walt. Miss your visits, your warm smile, the way you quietly admired my flowers. I will never again look at a plant or flower, without thinking of you. What greater thing is there for human souls than to feel that they are joined for life-to be with each other in silent unspeakable memories. Until we meet again, I know you want us to get involved in life, realizing The Lord is with us, He is still active and very much in control. We are left behind to fulfill His purpose for us on earth. Thank you for the many, many wonderful memories. I love you Walt and am so blessed that Our Great God thought so much of us when He placed you in our midst. Rest in peace my brother, my friend, my mentor.

Condolences to the Enquist family. I have memories of Pastor Enquist from St. Peter's Church's 100 Anniversary in the Bronx. (1994). Pastor Enquist also married my sister Evelyn and her husband Darryl in 1995 and also spoke at my mother's funeral in 1995. Rest in peace with Jesus.

Pastor embraced life fully, whether by reading about it or touching the lives he came in contact with. His knowledge base was extensive in many disciplines. He was generous in sharing what he knew with you. He enjoyed making you feel special at all times by baking your favorite treat, sending you a note, leaving a message on your phone or picking up two copies of a book and giving you one. He loved everyone as God loves each of us. No doubt, he is enjoying the rewards that awaits him in heaven for all of his hard work here on earth. He will be missed greatly by all.

A spiritual giant was called home to live a better life with his Creator. All of us whose lives you've touched with your love, humility and integrity will hold you dearly in our hearts. You were my mentor, my spiritual father and friend. Thank you for the opportunity you allowed me to serve with you in ministry at St. Peters. All of us have been saddened by your death but we also rejoice for we know you are basking in the presence of Almighty God. We will certainly cherish your memory. Much comfort and peace to Sister Nadira, Ted, Matt and Tim. We love you all.

I STILL FIND IT HARD TO BELIEVE THAT PASTOR ENQUIST IS GONE. THE DALY HOUSEHOLD CHERISHED HIS GENTLE SPIRIT AND LOVE AND HE AND NADIRA HAD US IN HIS HOME MANY TIMES FOR YUMMY MEALS. JUST LOOKING AT THE FAMILY PHOTOS BROUGHT BACK A FLOOD OF MEMORIES. FROM ASHEKLON ISRAEL I SEND MY LOVE, PRAYERS AND BLESSINGS TO THE ENQUIST FAMILY. THANK YOU TEDDY FOR YOUR UPDATES AND PLEASE KEEP ALL WHO LOVE YOUR FAMILY UPDATED ON HOW YOU ALL ARE DOING.

Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in his wonderful face
And the things of earth will grow Strangely dim
In the light of his glory and grace.
My dear Pastor Enquist, how I will miss you, just knowing that you are no longer here. You touched my life in a very special way and that of my family. You were more than a Pastor, you became a member of our family. The relationship between you and my mother was very special. As a Pastor you never judged, you always counseled with love, you always showed that things would get better, you always showed the LOVE of Jesus. And I will ALWAYS Love You for that.
I will always treasure the moments we spent together, all the retreats and trips. Just like the flowers you liked too plant, GOD has received a beautiful lily in his garden.
Love you Always

Dear Walter,
You were the one of my cousins that I had most contact with, although you were the one that lived most far away. I still have your legend “GOD IS LOVE” at the entrance of our home.I will miss you very much and I hope Nadira, Teddy, Matt and Tim will have the strength to go on without you.

Remembering Pastor Walter all the way from India. Our family were immigrants to New York in 1989. We came in touch with the dear man of God. He took us under his wings and left no stone unturned to help us in physical and spiritual ways. His gentle, affable and loving manner will never ever be forgotten. May His work be rewarded. Our prayers are with the grieving family. - Pastor Davis Mathews

St. Peter's was a great experience for me. Beautiful things happened among many different cultures and races. Pastor Walt was so encouraging to me and of my desire to bring new Scripture music. I hope that Nadira and the boys will find strength and peace in the God of all comfort.

Pastor Walt: He was our Pastor, our Friend , Our Spiritual Father . His kindness, genuine prayers, awesome hugs, loving smile, the way he would send the church bulletin every week to let us know he missed us in church,he always called to invite, despite the many times we didnt show up, the way he took care of my husband through our families toughest hour, the way he called and would check in to make sure everyone in the family was ok, the time he went to see my mother in the hospital, the numerous ways he impacted my family's lives will all be remembered , cherished and greatly missed. It isnt often you meet someone who, you know, really prays for your soul, a person who really cares, who embodies the very essence of love, Pastor Walt was that man. I am privildged to have know him. I know he touched the lives of many. I am comforted in knowing you are in the arms of Jesus and rejoice that you can now dance with the angels. Our condolences go to the family , the church family, friends and to all whose lives were impacted by this great Man of God. Until we see you again. Thanks for teaching us what Love is
