Rex Glen Lee

Services for Rex Glen Lee, age 69 of Lindale, are scheduled for 5:00 PM Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale with Rev. Pat Alvey officiating. Interment will follow in the Hopewell Cemetery. Rex died Sunday, August 14, 2016 at the Hospice of East Texas in Tyler. He was born in Lindale, Texas on June 10, 1947 to the late Herbert Harrison and Iris (Turner) Lee and served in the United States Army. Rex was a lifelong resident of Lindale and Tyler area and worked as a carpenter. He was also a member of the Friendly Baptist Church in Tyler. Rex was preceded in death by his parents. He was survived by his wife, Geraldine Lee of Lindale; children, Jimmy Lee and wife, Tammy of Van; Gary Lee and wife, Aimee of Lindale; Darla Fisher and husband, Brad of Lindale; Mark Martin and wife, Yvonne of Chapel Hill; Jeri Wheeler and husband, Don of Ft. Smith, Arkansas; 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; sister, Sheila Gray of Lindale; 2 brothers, Shane Lee of Lindale; and Jody Lee of Lindale; and 5 nieces and nephews. Honorary pallbearers are Erwin Anderson, Jimmy Smith, Johnny Fletcher, and Keith Burgess. Serving as pallbearers will be Wade Gibson, John Fletcher, Dennis Stansbury, Bryan Wheeler, Brett Wheeler, and Jerry Terry. The family will receive friends from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice of East Texas Homeplace, 4111 University Blvd. Tyler, Texas, 75701.
