Rex William Moore, Jr. passed away on November 26, 2024 in Crosby, Texas. Rex was born on October 22, 1941 in Cuero, Texas to Rex William Moore, Sr. and Dorothy Ray (Immenhauser) Moore.

They moved to Yoakum, Texas where Rex grew up, attending Yoakum Public Schools and graduating High School in 1959. Rex entered Texas A&M in the fall of 1959 and enlisted in the Corps of Cadets (AFROTC), Squadron 3, and began a 4-ycar degree plan for Bachelor of Science in Electrical Enginecring Rex & Linda married on August 25,1962 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Yoakum, Texas.

Rex graduated in the summer of 1963 with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. After graduating. Rex and Linda moved to Houston, where Rex began his 37-year career with Dresser-Rand. He retired in 2000.

Rex enjoyed hunting, fishing, genealogy, traveling, wood working and gardening. He and Linda spent many enjoyable hours traveling the United States.

Survived by his wife Linda, of 63 years, daughter Deborah Barley (Mike) of Crosby, Texas, granddaughter Lauren Pouland (Andrew) of College Station, Texas and 3 great grandsons Hudson, Hayden & Harlow Pouland. Brother Mike Moore (Cathy) of Phoenix, AZ, Sister Kathy Moore of Midlothian, Texas, Sister-in-law Delores Huflmaster of Victoria, Texas, Brother-in-law Clarence Coldewey of Hallettsville, Texas and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 9806 Zac Lentz Parkway, Victoria, Texas on February 8th with visitation at 1:00pm, Celebration of Life Service at 2:00pm with a reception following.

There will be a private burial at Hochheim Cemetery at a later date.

Memorials may be given to Grace Lutheran Church or donor's choice.

I´m so sorry to hear of Rex´s passing. I enjoyed getting to know him through the YHS/SJHS reunion planning. Praying for family and certainly Rex´s beloved Linda. Until we meet again
