BURLINGTON — Mr. Reynold "Rennie" Louis Moretti, 74, of 1025 Glenview Lane, Burlington, NC 27215, died Monday, June 01, 2009 at Moses Cone Hospital after one week of failing health.
A native of Jersey City, New Jersey, Mr. Moretti was the son of the late Battista and Adele Baldina Moretti, and the husband of 40 years to Lorraine Kozar Moretti who survives. He was retired from Western-Electric / AT&T.
In addition to his wife, Lorraine, he is survived by his son, Robert Moretti and wife, Julia of Cape Coral, Fla.; sister, Lucille (Herb) Hamers of Vero Beach, Fla.; nephews, Richard (Judy) Hamers of Virginia and Robbie (Karen) Hamers of Florida; niece, Denise Farber of Buffalo, N.Y..; beloved dogs, Shadow, Molly, Kitchy, Sugar, Marcy and Katie. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Moretti; sister, Dolores Alberto; and dogs, Little Guy and Miss Willie.
Thank you to Dr. Thomas Kelly and the entire staff at Southeastern Heart Center for their continued care for the past 20 years. Also, thank you to the nursing staffs at Moses Cone Hospital (especially Daphne) and Alamance Regional Medical Center.
There will be no visitation or funeral service. Memorials may be made to Humane Society of Alamance County, P O Box 5117, Burlington, NC 27216

I am sorry to hear of Rennie's passing. I had hoped we might see him at our 50th DHS reunion, but that wasn't possible. I'll never forget him from those days so long ago. He was quite a fencer. He was also a bon vivant, although we didn't use words like that back in Jersey City. I'm sorry he's left us.

Richard and I extend our deepest sympathy at Rennie's passing. He was a wonderful neighbor to Dick's parents and especially Catherine in later years. We will miss him.

I am very sorry to hear about Rennie. I have many fond memories of the time I spent with Rennie and Lorraine in Burlington as a kid. Thank you Rennie for all that you did for my grandparents.
