She was a great friend I will miss her. I remember she was one of the only people I knew that always had a smile on her face and could cheer me up no matter how crummy I felt.

I just learned that Rhonda is gone! I remember the best of times when we were little girls and the four of us (with our sisters Cynthia and Janelle) would have the most imaginative, engaged times together. Surely, she is gone too soon. I am so sad.

I just heard about Rhonda's passing and cannot express how sad I am for the loss of this wonderful person. I had the honor of being one of her coaches at BCC. She was amazing. Her 400M record of 53.6 still stands as the best all time for NW conference. She was a great role model for others in the way she competed and carried herself as an outstanding person. I am so very sad for all those who knew her and this loss.

This comes as a shock since I have been trying to find Rhonda for several years. I was very reluctant to search the obituaries but I did and I must say I am overwhelmed with sadness I did not get to say goodbye to my dear friend. I loved Rhonda dearly she was such a light in the world. I will miss her for the rest of my life. Thank you Rhonda for all the memories and being such an amazing person.
Love you,
Mark Skaggs

It was hard to be anything but light-hearted and joyful whenever I was with Rhonda. Her effervescent laughter and positive spirit was contagious. She lived her life with courage and conviction, with a unique kind of charisma that connected her to people of all ages and walks of life. Cynthia, thank you, Rhonda, and your parents for welcoming Natahri and me to your family and becoming a part of ours. All of you have a special place in my life and heart...always. Peace and blessings be with you, Doug and your family.
Love, Sharon

Okay, add a last message of love to all on here, as Rhonda would have appreciated. I have her remainding outside plants at 610 2nd Ave. West in the triandle garden. If anyone would like to take some. I will plant the rest around the area where I can, and her love and light will continue to shine through all of us! Love you so much, special lady!

Rhonda, I don't know what to say beyond recognizing what an amazing person you were. You truly helped me find myself at a point in my life where I was surround by confusion and I cannot thank you enough for the love and wisdom you shared with me.
You stamped out a permanent place in my memory and I will always be thankful to you for not only what you helped me with but for who you were. While I may be an atheist, I think that you were definitely proof of angels existing.

How lucky I was to have had you in my life, sharing such wonderful traits that I now share with my son. We dance for no other reason except it feels good!. I love you Rhonda

I met Rhonda maybe 6 years ago. She became a very close and special friend. My boyfriend, daughter and both granddaughters loved her. She was like a little kid coloring eggs at Easter with us. She will be sorely missed. I do believe she is happy in heaven though. I miss you ladybug. Love Diane Clary Seattle

Rhonda was an awesome athlete, and a wonderful friend and classmate (Sammamish HS '78). It's worth emphasizing, for the record, that Rhonda was a star on the Sammamish girls' track teams that swept to the state championships in 1977 and 1978, running the anchor leg on Sammamish's 1978 state champion Mile Relay team.
And a third of a century after she last competed for Oregon State U., Rhonda is still prominent in the Beavers' record book. Even now she has OSU's 5th-best time ever in the 400 m. run 56.91 secs., set on 1 May 1982, in Eugene. At the time she set that mark, it was the 2nd-fastest time ever by an OSU woman.
She was on the 4x100m relay team that posted the 4th-fastest mark ever by the OSU women 47.40 secs. on 17 April 1982, in Pullman.
Likewise, Rhonda was on the 800m medley relay team that still has the 3rd-fasted time run by OSU women: 1:44.83 on 7 May 1982, in Missoula.
And that medley relay team were also the 1982 Regional Champions of the Northwest College Women's Sports Association (NCWSA).
Of course, more important than her tremendous athletic achievements was the grace, good humor, and conscience with which Rhonda lived her life, and the warmth and caring with which she treated other people. She's gone far too soon, is sorely missed, and is treasured in memory.

Rhonda "Uzi" Bell you will always hold a very special place in my heart. Supersonics, WTO tear gas, laughter, and kindness. Just a few gifts received from you. You were always a great friend, co-worker, and human. You were always so darn positive. You tried for years to pound that positivity into me. It worked a little bit (not really). You're the only person in the world that could ever call me "Snoodles" and have it be okay. I dislike that name but that's why you thought it was so funny.
Love you Uzi!

Being your friend and neighbor for years, was such a blast. You never let up on living your life, and many of us could learn from that. Not only were you a friend to me, but also my kitties, whom are officially my family, not many peopl are such true friends. Over time you became my family too. I will miss the BBQing and the time spent on your porch with friends, neighbor's and strangers. May you rest now.

Rhonda, I don't even know where to begin or how to say bye. You were one of my best friends here in Seattle and as sad as I am, it's all the good times that help me deal with you not being here anymore. I truly am grateful for the friendship we had. You were more than a friend, we always used to joke around that you were like my older sister and I was like your little bro since I thought like a dude. lol I think J. Go put it best when she said it's not a good bye, just a see ya around. I love you and will miss you. Watch over Coaly for me.
