Riccardo P. Ricci, age 82, of Brockton, formerly of Braintree and Quincy, died peacefully, Thursday, January 2, 2025 at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, surrounded by his loving family.

Riccardo was born in Quincy, to the late Riccardo and Caravita E. "Katy" (Pompeo) Ricci. Raised and educated there, he was a graduate of Quincy High School, Class of 1959. He lived in Brockton for the past two years, previously in Braintree for over fifty years.

He was a heavy equipment operator and longtime member of Operating Engineers Local 4.

Riccardo proudly served in the Massachusetts Army National Guard.

He was a member of the Braintree Sons of Italy.

He enjoyed working on projects around his house and those of his children.

Riccardo's greatest joy came from being a supportive husband and father. He was devoted to his family, actively supporting their many activities and accomplishments.

Beloved husband to the love of his life for fifty-seven years, Lesabetta N. "Liz" (Ranieri) Ricci.

Devoted father of Karin E. Newman and her husband Eric of Easton, Lisa E. Beauvais and her husband Donald of Bridgewater, and Riccardo A. Ricci and his wife Dara of Shrewsbury.

Loving grandfather of Emily Scott and her husband Austin of Douglas, Alden Newman and his girlfriend Rose Dever of Norfolk, Va., Sara Beauvais, Marisa Beauvais both of Bridgewater, Jace Ricci of Standish, Maine, and Laura Ricci of Shrewsbury.

Dear brother of Anthony V. "Tony" Ricci of Quincy.

Dear brother-in-law of the late Michael Ranieri and his surviving wife Gail of Braintree, Mario Ranieri and his wife Carol of Braintree, and predeceased by Anna Gulla and her late husband Joseph, Frances DeAngelo and her late husband Larry, and their late son Bennett.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Church of Saint Clare, 1244 Liberty Street, Braintree, on Tuesday, January 7, at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment, with military honors, to follow at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. At the request of the family, visiting hours have been omitted.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Riccardo's memory may be made to The Salvation Army Quincy, 6 Baxter Street, Quincy, MA 02169 or My Brother's Keeper, P.O. Box 338, Easton, MA 02356.

Liz and family, just noticed Rick´s obituary and was so sorry to read that news. Rick was a wonderful man and I so enjoyed visiting with him and Mario daily at Dunkin Donuts while waiting to go into work. So many stories! Please know he is now in a better place. Sending prayers to you all.

I just heard about your dad `s passing. We feel so bad we didn´t know about services. Your dad was such a wonderful person.i would Always stop when walking to chat with him & your mom about family etc. Kathy Szeikis my friend told me about your dad..
