I have those "Alden Ears" he was known for! I miss his warm hugs and the way he would always rub the back of my neck to comfort me when I was little. Was thinking about him a lot today. I love you grandpa.

Creative, wonderful teacher, a wonderful friend, he brought joy to everyone around him. A beautiful wife, that shared the Lord's teaching. And took such good care of him. Rick was a true gift from God

Got my love for the outdoors from my grandfather

So many memories! Some fun times as I remember picking blackberries and apples with him. There is one time we brought him and Kathryn to a Thanksgiving get together at the "farm". There were so many homemade pies that he couldn't believe his eyes! We had this joke between us when it started getting cold out. We would take turns calling each other and exclaiming "It's 40 degrees out"! You will be missed but you lived for this day! Happy reunion

What can I say about Uncle Rich! He was my favorite Uncle, especially as a child. He was always so loving and giving. He always made me feel special when he came to visit. When my mom, his sister Joyce was diagnosed with Alzheimer's he made a point to visit often with Aunt Jan to pray, love, and minister to her and the family!! I loved him so much!!! I know he is having the greatest celebration with Grandpa, Grandma, and all his siblings in Heaven!!! He has seen the face of Jesus and gets to live with Him forever until we join him!!! Lord Bless and comfort the family as you process his lost!!! I send lots of Love and hugs!!
