Richard D. Anderson

Richard D. Anderson, 89, passed away in Charlotte on Tuesday, April 25. 2023. He grew up in Birmingham, Alabama, the son of Raymond F. Anderson, and Agnes Anderson. Richard graduated from Columbia University Medical School in New York City. Following his residency in radiology at Cornell, he accepted a National Institutes of Health fellowship in neuroradiology. He served on the teaching staff at Yale University Medical School and at the University of Alabama Medical School as associate professor before entering private practice in Charlotte, NC in 1978. He retired early, in 1994.
Richard is preceded in death his lovely wife, Suzanne L. Anderson. He is survived by two sons John R. Anderson and Stephen A. Anderson, their wives, Beth Anderson and Amy K. Anderson, and for his grandchildren, Molly G. Anderson, Rachel G. Anderson and Ian A. Anderson.
