The Rev. Dr. Richard Paul Baepler

My deep sympathy. I remember him as a brilliant and fair man who helped guide me during my eleven years at Valpo as the university librarian. In addition, he was a charming man who loved his martinis and all things Valpo. Hr was just "a great guy" who will missed forever.

As a 1976 graduate of Valparaiso University, I had to know Dr. Baepler. His spirit embodied the university. Attending the College of Nursing, we were somewhat removed from much of the university activity but not with Dr, Baepler. He was everywhere. His brilliant mind, humble demeanor and caring spirit captured one´s attention. Most of all, I will remember his great smile. God Bless him and welcome him into his eternal adventure!

What a wonderful life! I never met Rev. Dr., but am so inspired to read about the zest and passion with which he lived. May the God whom he served give you, his family and many loved ones, strong peace and comfort. In Jesus' name, amen.
