I ran a sales office for Rich and Buno in San Jose, CA for National Image. I look fondly on the time I spent working for/with Rich back in 1993-1995. He was a wonderful and great guy. I had dialog with him on an almost daily basis and he was always upbeat and funny even in less than desirable situations. After I left my job and moved to Colorado, Rich helped me start my own business that mimicked that of National Image. Rich had every right not to help me after my parting ways, but he did because he was just that kind of guy. Awesome.

My heartfelt condolences go out to his family and friends. Please know that even though I lost touch with Rich many years ago, he positively impacted my business life and also touched my heart. He was a great man!

God bless,

Geoff Kullberg

PS- Hello to Buno. 56 years is far too short, but he made the most of the time he had.

Julie, Ryan and Richie-
I am so sorry for your loss. Richard was such an amazing and great person. When I would meet up with everyone at the tailgates he was always the first to give me hug and ask how I was doing. I know he will always be in everyones hearts, lives and tailgates for years to come. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

To Richard's family...who I heard about so often.. he loved you dearly, and anyone who knew him- also felt they knew YOU. My deepest, heartfelt condolences to you. Richard was an exceptional man, and wonderful friend and mentor. I had the pleasure of working with Richard at Kiss when he first came back from California and began his career at Clear Channel. We laughed so often during that time. Know he will always be fondly remembered.

Sometimes you do not have to know someone very long to know what kind of a person they are. I was fortunate to get to know Richard in his physical therapy for his shoulder this past year. He was the type of person that everyone enjoyed having around and always had a special knack of elevating the mood of the entire clinic. He always had a positive attitude and talked so highly of his wife and family. I am saddened to learn of the passing of such a genuinely kind and good -hearted person. I offer his wife and family my thoughts and prayers through this difficult time and hope they may find some comfort in knowing how Richard was able to have such a positive influence on those who knew him, no matter for how long!

Such a sad and sudden loss of a great, great person. I had the pleasure of getting to know Richard through business, and I was never around him when he didn't have a smile on his face and something nice to say. To his family and friends, I am sorry for your loss, and will keep you in my prayers.

Sometimes in life, our paths cross with people who just make you smile. Richard was one of those people. I was so saddened today to learn of his passing. My condolences go to his family and fellow friends. I will remember him the only way I can, as a great Father that loved his family dearly. Though our paths had not crossed in years, and as I wipe my eyes typing this, I can't help but smile and be happy that I knew the man, even if it was for just a short time.

I've been in the same business for almost 40 years. Knowing Richard was an honor. He was the definition of class, compassion, and caring (three rare things in this, or any other business). Richard, you will always be remembered, and always missed.

Julie, Richie,Ryan and all of Richard's Family,

Like so so many others, Richard was one of my very best friends. I've know him for 32 years and will miss him so much. I was so fortunate to have had him in my life. There are no words that can be said to decribe my love for him or my own loss and I am so sorry for yours. My faith in Jesus and my Trust in God, altough I don't understand why Rich had to go, is what sustains me. I know I will see him again.

God bless you all, Mike Moriarty

I had the great opportunity to work next to Richard for a time at WDVE. What a fabulous co-worker, father, husband and son. My son played (Norwin) against Ryan the past couple of seasons. And I still owe Richard a lunch ...

Richard was a true gentleman and great guy. I always enjoyed talking with him. You learned something each time. It was such a treat running into him in the halls...always a smile on his face and always asked how I was doing. Even though I didn’t work directly with him, he was always super nice to me. He was a friend to all. Not only was he one of the most genuine and nicest people, but he had a true love of people and an empathy for them and it showed. He was a rare gem. Julie, Rich Jr, and Ryan and family, my deepest sympathy on the loss of your wonderful husband and father who no doubt is watching over all of you in God's embrace.

I was proud and honored to be on the same "Team" as Richard. He was the ultimate definition of class and professionalism. It is very rare when no matter where you go you never heard a negative word about someone. Richard was one of those special few. I am going to miss trading the daily Penn State/Pitt barbs with him. when I needed a smile and a laugh I knew where I could always go. My heart, thoughts, and daily prayers, will be with each of you during these difficult times. God's Blessings on all of you.

Dear Julie, Richard Jr. and Ryan,
I just don't know what to say except how very sorry I am. I do know Richard was an exceptional husband, father and devoted son. He always spoke about how you were and his mom and dad as well. I can't tell you how much he helped me in my advertising work. He was a good listener, friend and had the ability to bring people together and compromise. As I read these listings and have talked with some of his other friends in the past two days. I have learned so much more about Richard and his abilities. But I will always admire his ability to bring people together.
He was the Best!

Richard was an inspiration to all people... he was warm and welcoming and full of life. He will be greatly missed by many as he touched the hearts of many. He is one of the best co-workers I ever had when I worked at WDVE and he was a great riding buddy and cheered for me during the MS 150. His family is beautiful and some of the nicest people. God Bless Richard. Keep an eye over all of us while you are in heaven. I send my deepest sympathies to every single person touched by his great spirit, especially his family.

Julie,
We are so sorry to hear about the tragedy of Rich's passing. We are overwhelmed with grief for your family.

Rich was one of the most positive people I ever met. He never had a bad word to say about anyone or anything. When we would run in to each other we always talked basketball and families. He was so happy and proud of you and the boys. He always wanted to hear what was going on with our family too, so supportive and genuine. Rich was a truly wonderful man and will be missed tremendously.

To Julie and family - Richard was a great friend to the Food Bank and the Pittsburgh Blues Festival. His ready smile and cheerful disposition were always appreciated, as was his hard work on behalf of the Blues Festival. Even though he did not get to the Blues Festival this year, know that his effforts contributed greatly to its success. He was missed there, and will be missed by all of his friends from the Food Bank.
