Richard´s mentorship was a gift that left an indelible mark on my life. He saw potential in me long before I recognized it in myself. Through his guidance, I was given not only the opportunity to grow professionally, but also to evolve personally into someone shaped by the values he exemplified every day: integrity, perseverance, and unwavering ethical standards.
Working alongside Richard was a masterclass in both business and life. He led with wisdom, conviction, and heart, instilling in those around him a deep respect for doing what is right-even when it´s hard. His trust and belief in me were profound gifts, and I carry them with immense gratitude.
The impact Richard had on my journey will forever resonate, and his legacy lives on in all of us who were fortunate enough to learn under his protective wing.

I worked for Mr. Bass as his Secretary when Kaye Insurance was on Williams St. in Manhattan, well before the "911 horror". He was an exacting perfectionist which was a takeaway for me and served as inspiration/motivation the rest of my career as an Executive Administrative Assistant. Thank you, Richard.

M´y best memory is when we travelled through South America in an ancient Volkswagen bus in the early seventies You could tell he would have preferred something more comfortable but he kept his sense of humour and dignity all along Dick was indeed a gentleman and a lot of fun to be with .After this memorable experience we kept seeing each other on several occasions and he would always welcome you as if you had dinner with him the day before We were friends for years.We will miss him as much as his wonderful smile He is indeed a person to be remembered So sad to hear he passed away
