Continued great memories of Richard Bohn. Never met another guy who combined Science issues/services with profound Human Rights/Mediation issues and services, like this man. He taught me a great deal & I am grateful for Richard!

First of All, I am very late on this condolence, as I just got the news of Rich Bohn's passing away, yesterday. I apologize to the Family and Friends as this man Rich Bohn was a blessing to me as the past Director of Equal Opportunity & ADA Coordinator at the MD Dept. of Natural Resources, from which I Retired in December of 2022. Rich was The Scientist/Workplace Mediator who encouraged/assisted me in starting the MD DNR Workplace Mediation Program 15 years or more ago and recruited/trained 20 volunteer-employee workplace mediators & he helped us develop a ongoing relationship with the Center for Alternative Dispute Resolution & Attorney-Marvin Johnson. Rich also had a unique since of humor that really helped in mediation and EEO-Workplace conflicts. Finally, he also coordinated the providing of complementary Fishing Licenses to People with Disabilities and Senior Citizens with Special Needs of therapy. I also learned of Rich's many contributions to academic topics on Biology and Fishing and Aquaculture. Beyond all of that, Rich was a strong supporter of the MD DNR Office of Fair Practices and would strongly encourage me, when I was down or up. RIP Brother-Richard Bohn and Family please know that his "public works" were clearly seen by me and others. You can contact me at [email protected] or 301-366-9361 (c).
