Dickie was also my first cousin. We never stopped calling him Dickie even when we were all grown.
As children. I remember he had the biggest and most full playroom I had ever seen. I was especially wide eyed at all the lego he had and let us build as much as we wanted!
A memory from childhood that especially stands out is Dickie's way of using a coloring book.
He would start on page one and color the pictures in order...no skipping around in the book....so he would remind me to make sure I colored the very next page when we visited. I also thought he was the luckiest kid in the world to have a creek in his backyard!
In adult years, the best memories were going to the Baltimore Orioles games with the family. We would always bring a big picnic to the ballpark which he loved.
I had not seen Dickie since my father's ( his uncle) funeral but we kept in contact through Christmas cards.
I never thought Dickie would pass away so young relative to the longevity of other family members. So sad.
Dickie, rest in peace. We will miss you.

Dickie lived across the street from me, Beechwood Drive in West Hyattsville, in the mid-1950s. We played on the same Little League baseball team -- Dickie was an excellent 2nd baseman. We both moved elsewhere in the late 50s but stayed in touch over the years -- exchanging Xmas cards and emails and getting together for a round of golf every few years. I'll miss him!

Dickie was my first cousin and I have great memories at his home growing up, playing in the creek and getting wet and muddy when we were told to not play in the water ! Dickie was the leader when we were there, being 7 years older than me I looked up to him because he seemed so smart, and he was smart. In the 60´s and until the Washington Senators baseball team left for Texas we would meet up for games at RFK stadium, always having a great time. Later I joined the Army and lost contact with him but my sister and Dickie went to many Baltimore Orioles baseball games, always enjoying life.

I met Dick in 1965 when he was a junior golfer at Chantilly National Golf & CC and I was the Assistant Pro there and worked with him on his golf game. He was a very good junior player. He later worked for me as an Assistant Pro at Evergreen CC before going to work for the government. He became a member at ECC where he continued to play excellent golf for many years. I played a lot of golf with Dick over the years and will always cherish the memories of many great times together. He is a friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

I've played many rounds of golf and taken many golf trips to Myrtle Beach and Pinehurst with Dickie over the last 30 years. RIP
