Richard S. Bowman

It is with deep sadness that I learn of Richard's passing. I am his first cousin. My dad, Joe, was the youngest brother of Uncle John, Richard's father. Richard was actually born just a couple months before his Uncle Joe (my dad) and there is over 30 years difference in our ages.

We lived in Zanesville, Indiana and I have the fondest memories of family visits at each other's houses. Richard was always very kind to me as a child and was more like an uncle. After my dad died in 1971, we lost track. They may not remember me, but I met Jeri, Shannon, and others during these visits. My heart goes out to you and yours and I hope you can find peace at this difficult time. Richard has a special place in my heart.

The Family has lost a true Patriarch. I did not know Richard as well as most but he was a constant reminder of "What is Right With the World". The similarities to my own Father were uncanny. He will be missed.
