Richard "Rich" H. Brase
Hartford - Richard "Rich" H. Brase Jr., 56, passed away in his home on Friday, March 10, 2023.
He was born September 19, 1966 in Highland, IL.
A graduate of Edwardsville High School, Rich enjoyed working on projects around his home, tinkering with his truck, watching the barges on the river, and country line dancing. He was extremely enthusiastic when he was dancing, often showing others the Boot Scootin' Boogie.
He is survived by three children, Susan, Elsie, and Joseph Brase. He is also survived by his mother, Mary (Boccaleoni) Brase, a sister, Deanna (John) Lotter, two brothers, Marshall (Molly) Brase and Shawn (Stacy) Brase, 7 nieces and nephews, Amanda (Eric) Gray, Devin Lotter, Dakota (Alexa) Parish, Jacob Brase, Ashton Brase, Lukas Brase, and Trey Brase, three aunts and numerous cousins.
He is proceeded in death by his father, Richard Brase Sr., two uncles, and his grandparents.
Following his wishes, his remains will be cremated and a private family memorial will be held.

Very sorry to hear about Rich passing. I went to school with and worked with him for awhile and he was always a kind man and willing to help anybody. My condolences to his family. Godspeed Rich!

So sorry to hear about Rich. Fondest memory when the Legion had dances he would always ask Dean if he could dance with me. He enjoyed dancing and was very good. Hugs and prayers to my son in law Shawn, Mary, Deanna and Marshall and all his extended family.
