Richard Butler Obituary
Memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, September 12, 2021, in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Dr. G. A. Roach officiating. Military Honors will be provided by Volleys for Veterans. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Richard was born on August 15, 1943, to Elvie and Richard Anderson Butler, Sr. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Richard loved his family and was a proud father. He was the ultimate prankster and could make you believe anything he said. He loved music and spending time outdoors, especially camping and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Richard "Rick" Anderson Butler III; his brother, Bennie Butler; and his sisters, Wynonia Westbrook and Jo Ann Daniels.
Survivors include his daughter, Connie Butler; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Ksor; brothers, Ronnie Butler and wife Sharon, and Elzie Butler and wife Juanita; sister, Sue Williams and husband Wayne; grandchildren, Maddy Ksor, Andrew Michael McGowan, and Peyton Ruth Butler; and numerous nieces and nephews.
