I worked with Rich during his years at Rye Country Day; went in to see him at Bovis as well in the MetLife Bldg a few years later. Occasionally he would bring in his Super Bowl ring ... but only upon request! Fun.
What a wonderful person ... classy, humorous, kind, humble, true ... not too mention a great football talent. Very sorry to learn his last years were challenging.
Richard Caster, a gentleman the world appreciated and certainly will miss. I do.
My sincere condolences to all his family.

Prototype for the sure-handed large and speedy receiver, who could line up wide or on the line. Multiple Pro Bowl selections, and one of Joe Namath's favorite receivers. And I agree with many, who assessed that Rich would have been a standout in any era.

Richard was a standout student and athlete while at Jackson State . While I was his advisor, we were also Friends and Fraternity Brothers. We would always connect when the Jets played the Colts in Baltimore. He was a well liked community and family man.
