Mr. Cetrone, I am sorry to learn of Dicky's tragic death while looking for past friends while on the Internet today. I met Dicky while attending Langley HS in 1972. We were in Mrs. Roy's Geography class and gym together. To say Dicky was unique was an understatement. His athletic ability and quiet confidence were balanced with humbleness and grace. At 11-years old, these characteristics that made a lasting positive impression on me, and as reminisce, I confirm his gifts are only given by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to those most deserving.
What I remember about Dicky is his gentle nature, long brown hair, soft green eyes, and large size at 5' 7" and a solid 150-pounds--in the seventh grade! Although he was serious most of the time, Dicky also had a humorous side that he only revealed to his closest friends. Unfortunately, my growing friendship with Dicky was cut short when my family moved from Sheraden to Lakeland, FL in April 1973. Living 1,000 miles away from a my new friend Dicky didn't change the lasting positive impression he made on me. I am grateful to call him friend and brother.
Thank You Lord for all the lives You touched through Dicky! Relying on your promise Jesus to those who faithfully believe in You and are filled with Your Grace, I look forward to seeing my brother Dicky in Your Father's Eternal Kingdom.

MR. CETRONE & FAMILY, I WAS SHOCKED WHEN EVERYTHING "CLICKED". I SAW YOU ON THE NEWS AND FELT YOUR PAIN; HOWEVER, STILL NOT KNOWING IT WAS DICKY. THE NAME DID NOT REGISTER AT FIRST BECAUSE I TOO KNEW YOUR SON AS "DICKY". THE NEXT DAY EVERYTHING FINALLY CLICKED AND I FELT WORSE. YOU SEE WE WERE YOUR NEXT DOOR NEIGHBORS IN BROADHEAD MANOR WHEN YOU & THE KIDS MOVED IN. I WILL NEVER FORGET WHAT A KIND FAMILY ALL OF YOU WERE AND MY MOTHER "MICKEY" ADORED YOUR CHILDREN. FROM THE PICTURE ON THE NEWS YOUR SON TURNED INTO A HANDSOME YOUNG MAN AND FROM EVERYTHING I'M READING HE WAS JUST AS KIND TOO. YOU, LINDA, HIS WIFE, DONNA & FAMILY HAVE MY SINCERE SYMPATHY.

Donna and Family - It is just too hard to believe. As I sit here and think why would something like this happen to a good person and a loving family. Our prayers have been with you since Tuesday morning the minute we heard the news on the TV and I sat there not wanting to believe. We will be here if you need us - we love you -- God will watch over you.

Cetrone Family,
I had not seen Dicky in many years, but still consider him a good friend of our family. The news of his sudden passing is so painful. He was a very kind and mild-mannered man who will be sorely missed. We are praying for God's comfort for all of you, now and always.

To Richard's family. I worked with Richard at the Post Office many years ago. He was the nicest person. I ran into him downtown about a year ago while I was waiting for the bus. He stopped and spoke with me even though we hadn't seen each other in years. He made me feel good that day. I saw him a couple of times after that and was able to introduce him to my oldest son. He made me feel very special by telling me that he was proud of me for my accomplishments over the years. I am so very sorry that he is no longer with us and I send my prayers to his loved ones. I will always remember how special Richard was and how much he obviously loved all of you. I will never forget him.

Donna-My heart just dropped when I received that call from Mike. I was numb as I drove to work. I pray that God blesses you and your family with an "extra" portion of His love.
Although we fall short in our understanding on "why" a loved one is taken from us, we can only get on our knees, place our head in the lap of God, and allow our tears to be wiped from our eyes with his perfection.

My deepest sympathy goes out to all of Richard's family. I went to Langley High School with him. We attended our 25h class reunion last November, and "Dicky" came over to my friend Lori and me and sat for the longest time and talked to us. He didn't really know us in high school but was such a nice guy that that didn't matter. He talked a lot about his son and how proud he was of him playing football. I will never forget how nice of a guy he was and our talk at our reunion. It is such a shame that bad things have to happen to such nice people. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

It has been years since I have seen Richard, Dicky as we called him, since our families lived in the Broadhead Manor section of Pittsburgh. Recently I saw him on the East Busway and regretfully - I did not have a chance to say hello. My heart goes out to Mr. Cetrone and Linda and of course, his wife, children and grandchildren.

To Mr. Cetrone, and the rest of Dicky's family. I am so sorry that this happened to Dicky. Although we all know God doesn't make any mistakes, it still hurts. "Remember to trust in the Lord will all your heart and lean not on your own understanding: in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6. Please know that you all are in me and my family's prayers.....
