Richard Charon

Richard Walter Charon, 51, of Mesa Arizona was welcomed into heaven by many loved ones on Saturday December 7, 2024.

Ricky was born in Prescott, Arizona to Jeanette (Fuller) and Richard Charon. He was their pride and joy with his beautiful blond hair. Over the years Ricky's tender and kind heart shined through as he lovingly watched over his mother, and two younger sisters and later his two younger brothers and youngest sister. He defined every role of the oldest brother through example of unconditional love for his younger siblings and entire family. He was the protector and fix-it-all big brother.

Ricky split his childhood between living in Mesa, Arizona and Stark City, Missouri, where he attended a few different junior highs and high schools.

During his young adult years he was taken under the wing of his uncle that taught him how to be a drywaller by trade. Ricky was an amazing drywall finisher, where he was known for his flawless textures and the Rick Special.

Ricky was mechanically inclined by nature and could fix anything with a motor. He had a special bond with all animals, especially dogs, they all loved and adored him. His witty demeanor and knack for funny catch phrases, always kept those around him laughing.

His most prized accomplishment was his beautiful daughter Shalyn Jena' that changed his life forever, raising her as a single father.

Richard is survived by his daughter Shalyn (Tyler) Charon, granddaughter Anastasia, his dedicated and devoted mother Jeanette Martin, father Richard (Doris) Charon, brothers Clint (Kimberly) Martin, and Erik Charon, sisters Melanie (Karl) Menhennett, Melissa Charon-Veres, and Lynnessa (Danny) Hood. Along with many nieces and nephews that adored their fun uncle Ricky, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Preceding Richard in death are his father John Martin, his grandparents Loran and Lois Fuller, Delores Meadows, namesake Richard W. Charon, and Maxine Schroeder.
