Richard Allen "Rick" Chase passed away on May 18, 2017 in Rochester, Minnesota at the age of 56.

Rick was born in Ithaca on June 4, 1960, a son of the late George and Margaret (Space) Chase. From a young age, Rick helped his father operate the family farm and equipment business, specializing in motors and farm machinery. He also worked for Tomkins County Highway Department for 28 years before retiring. Rick's most cherished times were those spent with his children, camping, going to auctions, playing pool, and going to yard sales.

Rick is survived by a son, Shawn (Lyndsay Caldwell) Chase; two daughters, Mackenzie and Kendra Chase; granddaughter, Makayla Chase; stepchildren, Matt and Kyle Stag, Josh Banks, and Tanesha Ferretti; siblings, Ann Lynch, Bill Chase, Patricia Lilly, Kathy Chase, and Virginia Sanford ; aunt, Peggy Chase; cousins, Lynn and Nancy Chase; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Rick was preceded in death by his uncles, Earl and Burr Chase.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at the Calvary Baptist Church, 5 Bradley Street, Trumansburg. Burial will be held in Grove Cemetery.

The family asks those that would like to make a contribution in Rick's memory to kindly consider registering to become an organ donor.
