My sincere condolences to the family. His name was a trademark in the community. May his legacy continue.

Sorry to hear about the passing of a truly great man, Ricky. He has laid many of my family members to rest. Now it is his turn to rest in heavenly peace.

Thank you Ricky for sharing your dad with the entire communities of La Marque and Texas City. So many families have been blessed by his unselfish giving. Cherish the memories and the legacy that "Chief" leaves to each of you and the community at large. God bless you Taylor family.

I Offer my condolences to the Taylor Family. Mr. Taylor was a blessing to many people of Texas City, La Marque, and Galveston County. As I served as Pastor of Greater Macedonia Baptist Church for nearly 10 years I was blessed by his service in the care and comfort of the members of my church to whom he was entrusted. He was always a professional with a loving spirit of humility.

Taylor had with my grandfather, the way that he read the memorial scriptures during communion at church, his love for gospel meetings and revivals, and his gentle, generous spirit. I am also grateful that he sponsored me in the Adelphi Club Debutante Ball many years ago. The family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
