I had the pleasure of meeting Grandpa Richard as I called him, on the set of Transcendence. He became my mentor in more ways than just discussing film. He was there with wisdom for any situation, encouragement and a hug when I was discouraged and always willing to share a song. We sang together from the first day we met and kept on singing every chance we got. Mostly " Feelin' Good" Nina Simone style. He was kind to everyone and was a true gentleman. He believed that if you had a broad enough vocabulary, curse words were not necessary, and he shared that belief with those around him. Filming in the desert, in 107 degree heat he would smile at me and say, "Laramie, it is one hot mother duck out here". His very presence made my day even better. I will miss him very much but I know I will see him again. To Richard's loved ones, My thoughts and prayers go out to you all. Goodbye Grandpa Richard, thank you for everything! You are loved and will be missed.

During our time in Regina, Dick and I spent many hours together. I particularly remember our studies at the Dairy Queen. To Ang, Richard and Paul, our sincerest sympathy. Our prayers are with you.

Richard and Paul: I remember your dad fondly, how he would take us out to Rams football games when we were kids. I always appreciated his humour and enthusiastic greetings. Take care

Dick would always come into the Dairy Queen in Northgate Mall with a huge smile on his face. Eventually Richard and Paul worked there and they were great young men like their father. I'm sorry for your loss Cohee family, but Dick touched a lot of lives in a very positive way. He was a great football player, but more importantly a great man. Rest in peace Dick. You will never be forgotton and your legacy will live on through your family and friends.

To the family: Saying good-bye must be the hardest thing in the world for you, and words seem like such little things compared to what all of you are going through. With deepest sympathy.
