I think of this terrible day for his mother; she and I both lost our beloved sons --mine four years ago....Arlene's Richard and my Steve did not know each other, but both loved life and lived it to the fullest. I try to keep those good thoughts alive, but losing our children...should not be.

I think about Rich everyday. He was one of my closest friends through my younger life. So positive and so care free. It was something I envied and something I miss seeing. I often ride by where his life came to a tragic end and say a prayer for him and his mother. I miss him.

I met Richard only once but was immediately impressed by him. Handsome, smart, hard working--his mother was so proud of him. Easy to see why.

Dearest Friends,
While the loss of a loved one is never easy, even when anticipated, it is most certainly the hardest when they are taken from us too soon. The outpouring of sympathy and kind acts of friends is so comforting to me knowing how many, many of Richard's friends and acquaintances were saddened by his loss. It will give me strength and peace in the days ahead. I am sending God's blessings to you all for your wonderful words and condolences that has sustained me through this difficult time. Please keep Richard in your prayers.
Peace and Love,
Arlene Colabelli

Dear Rich,
You loved and lived life. Life isn't how you live, it's the impression you leave behind. Your smile, endless chuckle and perseverance will continue
on in so many of us that were fortunate to know you. You were very caring and thoughtful. You worked hard and continually strived to enhance your business. We had many laughs together especially when my pup (that you allowed me to take to work) would get loose in the restaurant and we couldn't catch her! Honey Bun loved your daily walks on the beach with her. When I think if you, I smile and remember, I knew that "guy" and he was certainly worth knowing. My prayers go out to your wonderful and caring mother, Arlene. You raised a son to be proud of. Love and caring always remain, Jennifer

Thank you for always saving me a seat in your prescence. Thank you for all the after hours in the Leopard Lounge. Thanks for not making me sick with the sushi. Thank you for all the egg salad sandwiches you left at my door on your way home from The Reef Club. Thank you for letting me have my way. Thank you for Easter in the sandbox! Thank you for opening on Xmas so we could celebrate with friends. And for letting me bartend. Thank you for making me King Alfonses and trying to get the pony glass. Thank you for always making me feel like a queen. Thank you for the ride to the airport and for forgetting to pick me up. It's ok that you came in your gym clothes. Happy to see you. Thank you for coming to get me up every time I got a flat on my bike. Thank you for taking it for repairs and dropping me home. Thank you for the seat next to you every night. See you on the road sometime.
