You have been gone almost a year now. The holidays have passed and your absence was strange, still unreal. I still feel like you are there, just in another room. Your box is on the table beside the seat you always sat in, and I talk to you there sometimes. I hold you in my prayers and know I will see you again. I miss you still.

I've been thinking of you, Dad, and missing you. I keep thinking that you will be at home when I go to the house. It's an empty feeling of not being able to see you on this end of life, ever again. I will see you in the next life though.
Love, your middle child.

Dear Jeannette,
I believe you know how much I loved Dick and how much I valued his friendship. He was always my go-to guy when I had a problem that needed solving. He was one of only a few guys I knew I could call if I was in a Mexican jail. Jean & I were just distraught when we heard of Dicks's passing. Our love, thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.

It is with deep and sincere sorrow that we learned of Richard's passing. His smiling face, sparkling personality, neighborly waves and helpfulness, which we appreciated so much, will be sorely missed. We will forever keep him with us in our hearts and memories and we extend our deepest condolences to Jeanette, his children, grandchildren and the rest of Richard's loving family.

Cathy,
Your strength inspires me. I know the loss of your father is not easy to deal with. But the way your are handling it and helping your family is truly amazing. Your father would be so proud of the person you have become. I will keep your family in my prayers, and know that we are thinking of you and your family during this difficult time. Take care of yourself. Janie

I am so very sorry for the loss of your Father. Please know you and your family are in my my thoughts and prayers as yuo go through the next days and months. Time is a great healer but sadness and loss remain. Lean on your friends and family and ask when you need help. I am here whenever you need a listening ear.

You were a good man. I could always count on you for a laugh. I do not know what family get together will be like without you. You were my Grandpa when I had none. I love you and will miss you.

To Cathy,
Perhaps the fond memories of a life well-lived will give you and the family strength to endure the pain of this sudden loss. My heart and prayers go out to you and your mother - and to all who will miss your father.

I love you Grandpa, you always made me laugh with your silly jokes and comments. Family holidays are always a blast, and I will be sad to not have you physically with us. Your antics will be remembered fondly. Thank you for helping shape the amazing family I have today.
