R.I.P. Richard

I worked with Rick many years in Trenton for Ma Bell.
I´m always shocked to see an obit of an old friend.
He left this world much to soon.
R.I.P. my friend.

How sad I am to read that my own dear nephew, Rick, has died. His Uncle Frank's heart would be broken as is mine. I will always regret that I did not get to say goodbye.

"We're taking an early lunch." , Rick declared with his crisp booming voice while unlocking the truck. Who was I to say otherwise? I had just come out of Plant School, was truckless and it was his turn in the barrel to cart me around. "Um...OK?" I replied. Minutes and miles later we were loading crates of fine dining items including champagne stemware into the back of his turret truck for an anxiously bumpy ride down Rte 33 back to his house. It all arrived safely home as he had planned.
That was my first encounter with The Senator on the job as well as one of many fond memories while working with him early in my career.
My deepest condolences to you, Doris. He touched many lives and will be sorely missed.

Dear Rick,
May you finally rest in peace. I am so sorry you never really got to know our grandchildren and great grandchildren. We even have a third baby great grandchild on the way. Her name is Alice Rae after my mom.
Sometimes there is just nothing left to be said. Rest now and have no more worries.

Aww Sad news! Rick was good looking and a great guy. But a little grumpy at times, so I sent him a small 'Grumpy Bear' He laughed and kept it in his truck. A lot of good memories working with him! He left a imprint in many lives.
