DAVIS RICHARD L.
80, of Mason, OH, died at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at Mountain Crest Nursing Home in Cincinnati, OH. He was born on September 1, 1933, in Burley, Idaho. He was married to Theresa J. Davis on June 18, 1955, who preceded him in death in 2002. He is survived by four children, Mark L. Davis, Brad L. Davis, Renee (Scott) Crowder, and Kim (Mike) Koman; six grandchildren, Jeannine (Mark) Fischer, Justin Davis, Matthew Koman, Patrick Koman, Meredith Crowder, and Madison Crowder; two great- grandchildren, Alyssa and Conner Fischer. Richard was a veteran of the United States Navy and retired from the United States Air Force. He served his country proudly in both the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was a POW, recipient of the Purple Heart, and truly an American Hero. Richard spent most of his retirement as a veterans advocate, helping the returning soldiers fit back into their everyday life. Memorial Service to be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 13, 2013, at Plum Creek Cemetery in Pittsburgh, PA 15239. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Greater Cincinnati Chapter, c/o Richard L. Davis, 644 Linn St., Suite 1026, Cincinnati, Ohio 45203.
