He was one of the most outgoing and kind people that we knew. He befriended many and will be missed dearly. Richard was preceded in death by his first wife and soul mate, Lois Allen de la Torre and his father, Michael de la Torre. He is survived by his mother, Joy Dean Lincoln; his sister, Linda Bolton; his brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Ceci de la Torre; his three loving daughters and sons-in-law: Jennifer and Liviu Ignat, Sarah and Adam Williams and Taylor de la Torre; his two grandchildren, Luka Ignat and Emily Williams, who were the light of his life; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. A memorial mass will be held at St. Anne Catholic Church (2140 Westheimer, Houston 77098) on Friday, December 14, 2007 at 4:00 PM. A reception will follow with details announced at the mass. I had the privledge of knowing Richard the same way Jeffery Henley did, in business. He was an intelligent person and there was never a dull moment while in his company. He will be greatly missed. We will see each other again some day. God bless to his family.

Richard was the most kind and caring person I had the privilege of knowing. I met Richard at Chick-fil-A Mason Road and eventually we began to meet for breakfast usually 6 days a week for many years - sitting and talking about everything under the sun while he enjoyed his 2 sausage biscuits with jam and a large diet coke and me - my usual #1 with a large sweet tea !! Richard came to our sons' birthday parties over the years always with the coolest gift for a little boy. How I will miss his laughter and his smile. GOD SPEED MY FRIEND !!
