Richard D. DeLuca, 81, of Iselin, passed away on Monday, September 17, 2012 at home. Born September 16, 1931 in Buffalo, New York, he was the son of the late Nicholas DeLuca and Marion (Laterri) DeLuca. Richard lived in Iselin since 1997. He served our country with the United States Army during the Korean War, and worked as a welder for various Western Pennsylvania businesses for several years, retiring in 1997. He was a member of Iselin Community Church. Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing, and putting together puzzles. In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his wife: Barbara E. "Bunky" (Horn) DeLuca, who passed away February 19, 2008, a daughter: Deborah Lee DeLuca, and a brother: Albert DeLuca. He is survived by his son: Richard A. DeLuca Jr. of Washington, PA; grandchildren: Elixas "Nikki", Michael, Deanna, Debbie, four great grandchildren, brothers: Nicholas DeLuca of West Seneca, NY, Robert "Bobby" DeLuca of Buffalo, NY, and nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Curran Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 701 Salt St., Saltsburg on Saturday, September 22, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Reverend David Boldo officiating. Interment in Iselin Union Cemetery.
