My deepest condolences to the Djerf family.. I mourn your loss as well, because of Richard we shared two beautiful children. He was my first & only real love, he was a wonderful husband & father the short time we were together & he went on to be a super grandfather a well. Rest in peace.

Richie, I am glad that I got to spend some time with you in North Carolina and Arizona and have those memories of us. I feel like I just got to know you because you were off in the Navy when I was growing up.. Everyime I see my pelicans on the the lanai I'll think of you. We loved the time we spent with you in October. I remember your laughter at the pizza restaurant, at breakfast and when we surprised you with an early birthday cake. I am forever grateful for the memories of all of us together.

Today has been a month, but it only seems like yesterday, that, you left us. It’s so hard to believe that you’re really gone. And to know that we will no longer see your smiling face, or hear the sound of you’re voice. You left so many memories, which will never part. You will always live deep inside our hearts. Richard and I worked together at Continental Bank/Chase Bank for several years. We were the same age and both of us had been in the Navy. We all loved his sense of humor. For his 50th birthday, we brought in a cane and walker, some Polydent, ex-lax, Preparation H, Doan's Pills and other "old age" things for him. The office was filled with laughter through the day when he acted the part, hobbling around, grinning, with the walker and cane. Good times! Since then, we corresponded by e-mail through these years, and visited a couple Christmas times when I'd stop by with carols on my accordion. He was a super person and a proud patriot. I'm sure I can speak for the entire bank team offering deepest sympathies to Ellen and the whole family.
