Richard Val Dowe

He was a great father-in-law. He was generous and very caring. I will miss the conversations I had with him. He loved to make people smile. He surely will be missed. May he rest in peace.

Great Father who was very generous alway willing to help me in anyway, I will miss him greatly. Always thinking was there something else I should of done before he left. I hope he is at peace & in the comfort of the God.

Dick was a great guy to work with, always helpful and a good example to the younger designers. My condolences to the family and know that Dick will always be fondly remembered at GM (Fisher Body) Die Design.

Uncle Dick was not only a caring and generous person he always made us laugh, and ultimately put a smile on our face. I will always treasure the memories of him and his cottage that was just up the road from our cottage. Anyways he will be missed, and I know that the good lord has made a place for him in heaven.

May you rest in peace Uncle Dick. Thank you for all the beautiful memories you added to my childhood, and for having the patience and taking the time to make a small child feel so very special. Share your strength of character with Aunt Pauline, Jim and Sue to help ease their sorrow.

I remember Dick mostly coming out up at my Ma's cottage at 6:00 A.M,while I was fishing,walking to Ma's house sitting in a chair next to me.He had his pipe in his mouth sat there a few minutes and then said the fish biting. I would say yea they are nibbling. then he would look at me and say you got a extra cup of that coffee,I would say yep,get him one and we would sit there for awhile after his coffee was gone he would go back home.We would be the only ones up in our houses.He would come over just long enough to have his coffee then leave.
He will be greatly missed by all.

Aunt Pauline, Jim and Sue,
I was so sorry to hear of Uncle Dick's passing. He was a very caring and generous person. My children were blessed to have him as an additional "grandpa" in their lives. Dan, Stephan, Erik, Victoria and I enjoyed are many visits with him and sharing his joy of the cottage. He will be greatly missed.
