Let it be known that on this program cycle, Richard Jacob Drexel III (Rick) 76, of Sparta, Tennessee born July 25, 1949, in Irwinton, Georgia encountered an unhandled exception in his core operating system, which prematurely triggered a critical STOP condition on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at 1:36 p.m.

Rick was born in Puckett's Clinic in Irwinton, Georgia on July 25,1949 to the late Richard Jacob Drexel Jr. and Anne Bacon Drexel. He graduated from Wilkinson County High School, University of Georgia with a B.S. in Mathematics and the University of Dallas with an MBA. He was a Vietnam Era veteran and serviced six (6) years in the Florida Army National Guards, HDQ 53rd infantry, Tampa, Florida.

Rick leaves behind his wife of 50 years Wanda Harris Drexel; children Richard Jacob Drexel IV (Janie), Felicia Drexel, and Kristina Drexel Roberts (Katie); Grandchildren Alexus Drexel and Richard Jacob Drexel V; Siblings David Drexel (Belinda), Debra Drexel Belcher (Buddy) and Marion Drexel Fallin (Clay). He leaves behind numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, 2:00 p.m. in Irwinton, Georgia on the Bacon Family Farm, reception following.
