Dear Duhamels, Kaleys and Levesques:
I have kept you all in my thoughts and hope that the wonderful memories of your husband, father, papa and friend will bring you comfort and smiles.

I met duke shortly back in 1956-57 and his dad had a new 56 aqua-white chevy. He would wash it the taconic park swimming pool. I go to lot of car shows now and when i see a car like that,i think of that car,him,and those times. I wish i knew him better. gerald Nicklien

It is with deep regret I hear of your Loss. Duke hired me at Grundy's garage...a raw kid of 15 and gave me a chance and was most kind and patient especially when I crashed the tow truck. He gave me fatherly that I needed. I remember his smile as warm. Over the years, I lost touch with your husband but not his message of decency. God bless you and your family. My prayers are with you. Sister of Duke ...Jean and Brother in law, Buster, I would be remiss if I didn't say something to you Jean and Buster.....you lost your brother, your brother-in-law Buster. That has to also be a very deep hurt. I saw the pain in your eyes today and it made my heart sad for your loss. Know Jean and Buster that in all the years I have known you through your Brother and my friend BettyLou......that you are also family to me because our memories go back that far. I grieve for you in your loss. I celebrate that your brother had sooooooooooo many wonderful friends today that came and paid him their last goodbye.

Betty-Lou and family,
I am a name from the past who hasn,t seen Duke or Betty-Lou since 1969. I remember Duke, the coolest
guy in our crowd. He was also the smartest and sanest of the bunch. Trips to the Threeway , drag racing at the airport or just hanging around Dairyland was the normal night and Duke guided us through those crazy and dangerous years.
The Duke and Betty-lou romance was an unforgetable experience. (Nice catch Betty-lou!!)
Duke, thanks for making our teenage years something we will never forget because we will never forget you.
