Richard Echevarria, 52, passed away Sunday, December 23, 2012 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born and raised in New York City, Richard had lived in Boston before moving to Old Bridge in 1994. He was an electrical engineer for Northrop Grumman for over 10 years working at Ft. Monmouth in Oceanport. He loved sports, especially baseball & the NY Yankees, music, playing the piano & bass guitar, his dog, Kepler, and the beach. He was very smart, and was a good handyman.

Richard was predeceased by his parents, Fidel & Luz Echevarria. His mom passing on Dec. 21 of this year. He is survived by his wife, Elsie (Don) Echevarria; his daughters, Jessica Echevarria & Anne Echevarria; his sister, Evelyn Echevarria; his brother, Fidel Echevarria Jr.; his nephews, Matthew, Jason, & Everett; and his niece, Joslyn.

Cremation was private. A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, December 31, 2012 at 11am at Most Holy Redeemer Church, 133 Amboy Road, Matawan, NJ.

Richie my friend, I will miss you and your humor. I will never forget our days on Angel Peak, especially the stick ball with a ball made of tape.
