January 2, 2011-Dear Bess-Richard was respected and loved so much by David during his life, and of course, I feel so honoured to have known him as well. The painting he donated to the Saskatchewan Baseball Hall of Fame, is displayed in my office at the Hall of Fame and Museum with great pride. My personal condolences and love. Jane Shury

I had the priviledge of sharing a room with Ritchie at the Pasqua Hospital in Oct 2009. We watched a couple of World Series games and his knowledgable commentary made for very enjoyable watching. I much enjoyed his company.
My sympathies to your families.
