Dear Barbara and family,
What a glorious day it will be when we all together 'see Jesus'. Once again I am reminded of how precious in the sight of God is the death of His saints. May our Shepherd Jesus bring you peace, joy and comfort in these days of separation from the one you love.
Dr Engle tried his best to teach me Hebrew, exegesis, theological inquiry and all those wonderful skills. The one skill he modeled above many others was scholarship, genuine care and compassion for his students. Dear friend, you will be missed.

I have many wonderful memories of my 11 years in Clarks Summit at Heritage Baptist and at BBC. It is a privilege to know the Engle family and to have had Dr. Engle as a teacher at BBC. My prayers are with you during this difficult time of sorrow and rejoicing at the same time. "We sorrow but not as those with no hope!"

What a blessing he was to so many. Even though I didn't have him for a professor, I still got to know him and his family. He will be missed by all but it is wonderful to know he is with my dad and sister in heaven. God bless the family during this time.

Dear Engle Family,
Mr. Engle was one of my professors at BBC. He tried his best to impress upon me the need for careful exegesis and a grasp of the Word. He did the best he could! :-) But, the most important thing he taught me was to love others and be available. He did that for me.
A couple years ago I saw him at the GARBC conference and was able to personally thank him for his impact.
May the Lord give you HIs great grace during this time of grief.

Larry (Bissett) and I (Deb Bowser) have fond and challenging memories of being in Dr. Engles classes. He was a humble scholar who challenged us to think and understand the Word in deep ways. Our sympathies go to your family at this time of grieving his absence.
