Richard J. Falkevitz

Richard J. Falkevitz, “Santa Richard”, 73, of Royersford, passed away on December 14, 2016. He was born in Charleroi, PA on May 22, 1943 to the late Charles K. and Helen (Beres) Falkevitz. Richard has been living in Royersford since 1988, formerly of Southampton and Donora, PA. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy and went on to work as a computer engineer. Richard was an avid sportsman, loved nature and enjoyed hunting. He was a member of the Boulder Valley Sportsman Club where he had served as a board member. Santa Richard was most passionate about being a professional Santa and loved bringing joy to children, especially those in need. He volunteered at many local organizations and fire companies and co-founded the annual gathering of professional Santas. Richard is the beloved husband of Annette L. (Smith) Falkevitz of Royersford. He is the father of Amy Ginaldi of Fairless Hills, Richard A. ( & Jennifer ) Falkevitz of Langhorne, and Jill ( & Barry ) Lafferty of Blue Bell; step father of Anne Wilson of Lansdale and Roger Davis of Gilbertsville; brother of Charles Falkevitz of Langhorne, Robert Falkevitz of Hartford, CT; and Mary Beth Tanicello of Langhorne. Richard is the devoted grandfather of thirteen grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Falkevitz. His Memorial Service will be held on Monday, December 19 at 11:00 AM from the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 224 W. Main Street, Trappe, PA 19426. Friends may call on Monday morning from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
