Richard Lee Fowler MARION, Va. Richard Lee Fowler, age 71 passed away Thursday Nov. 26, 2009, at his home in Marion. Mr. Fowler was born in Smyth County and was preceded in death by his father Paul Fowler and two brothers Mack Fowler & P.J. Fowler. He was a 1957 graduate of Marion Senior High School and had worked at ARA & Aramark for several years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Survivors include, wife of 49 years,Edna Fowler mother,Zollie Fowler children; Jeff Fowler & wife Trish, Marion Sherry Blevins and husband Mark, Marion,Venessa Taylor and husband Ricky, Marion,Karen Doss ans husband Chris, Chilhowie brothers, Charlie Fowler and wife Pat, Marion, Joseph Fowler and wife Marcy, Marion grandchildren,Nikki Taylor, Tiffany Fowler, Kayla Taylor, Heather Fowler, Miranda Doss, Leanna Doss, Morgan Fowler, Derrick Doss and wife Morgan, Tony Blevins and wife Vangie, Alan Blevins and wife Sarah; great Grandchildren,Daisy Doss, Cheyenne Blevins, Tyler Blevins, Special friends, Angie Ashby and Duchess several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces & nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held Saturday Nov. 28, 2009, at 2:30 PM at the Freedom Tabernacle Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Sage officiating. Interment will follow in Resurrection Gardens with military honors being rendered by the Francis Marion V.F.W. Post 4667. The family will receive friends Saturday 1 p.m 2:30 p.m at the church. Flowers will be appreciated or memorial contributions can be made to the Cancer Outreach 104 Abingdon Place Abingdon, VA 24211. Expression of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.bradleysfh.com. Bradley's Funeral Home, Marion is serving the Fowler family.
