Richard G. Jung Obituary
He graduated from Lincoln High School and went on to serve in the United States Army. Following his years of Army service, he earned his teaching degree from Trenton State University and went on to earn two Master's in Education degrees from Trenton State and Rutgers Universities. His career in education spanned more than 40 years and was his true passion.
Richard loved historical family road trips and day hikes in PA and NJ. He was known to spot a random trailhead along the way and pull over for a nature walk with Kathy, whom he described as the love of his life. He was an avid reader with an extensive library of history and the paranormal. His fascination with the unusual and unknown found him at meetings with local theological societies as well as MUFON. He also loved learning about Native American cultures. In later years, he and Kathy spent time at their place in Florida, where he was a member of the Moose Lodge.
Friends and relatives will be received by the family on Thursday, August 11, 2022 from 2-4 pm at Wackerman Funeral Home, Inc. 8060 Verree Road, Philadelphia, PA 19111. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to either of the following organizations that Richard frequently supported throughout his years.
